We at The Chocolate Bar manufacture chocolate from bean to bar in Nairobi, Kenya. Using the finest cocoa from Uganda and Tanzania, we transform these cocoa beans to chocolate by adding simple ingredients such as sugar and milk powder.
We source our cocoa from small holder farmers that strive to produce high quality cocoa. With sustainability and best practices in mind, ensuring the harmonious co-existence between man and nature.
Our cocoa suppliers follow fair trade standards to ensure farmers succeed and are able to build a future for generations to come. As our contribution to the farmers, we buy cocoa for higher than market prices to give back and ensure the farmers get a good source of income for their produce.
Once the cocoa arrives in our factory, we sort, roast, crack, winnow, grind and temper the chocolate which is then stored in blocks and holding tanks until used to hand craft the different chocolate products that we have to offer
